If you are a singer/songwriter and would like one of your songs remixed in my genre (RPM/Electronic), there are LICENSING OPPORTUNITIES available for your music.
Signed as artist/producer Loryn (www.loryn.net) under a licensing company that pitches original music to major motion pictures, commercials, film, video games, and choreography, I receive daily requests from the post-house for original music. I wanted to expand the material I send them and give independent artists an opportunity, as well. Hence, I began this production service.
What is production? I.E. drums, bass, piano, synth, songwriting (if needed), overall sound, overall picture, etc. I do all the additional composition, mixing and mastering. Then, as suitable opportunities arise, the song will be submitted. Opportunities are sent to me by the licensing company I work with: www.godiymusic.com. If our submission gets accepted by one of our company clients for their programming, finances are divvied between all contributors.
Aside from having a unique production of your best tune, the benefit for you, as an independent artist, is an outlet to the music industry and an investment in possibly receiving money in return for a recording and production of your original music. Think of it in terms of going to a commercial recording studio with the added benefit of an entire production of your song, except when the song is complete, it will be in roster for television submissions.
Artists aren’t making much nowadays but there’s still money in post-production (film, TV, commercials). It’s a win-win for everyone involved. Plus, you keep 100% rights to your songwriting.
To discuss further details, submissions, fees and percentages, send me your query.
BELOW are samples from an artist I recently worked with, who now has a song in circulation. I included a before and after of the project, which demonstrates the original audio recordings in comparison to my production of the original recordings.
AFTER (Loryn Production)
Below are two original renditions of the popular Over The Rainbow/What A Wonderful World mashup by the Hawaiian artist IZ. I recorded and performed the first one just guitar and vocals. With those samples, I recorded and performed a full production in my studio. Take a listen to discover the differences.
